Stress Management Workshops
In a world of constant change we are continuously required to update, adapt and fit in. My 'Living Well' Stress Management Seminars offer participants the opportunity to develop new solutions to fit their individual needs for more elegant change management to re-assess their work-life balance. The one-day seminars are designed for busy people who need useful, easily applicable reminders of how to make their lives more satisfying.
The seminars are limited to a maximum of 16 participants, so that there is adequate time for clients to reacquaint themselves with their own potential and have some fun learning new strategies. By the end of the day you will have a precise idea of how stress affects your body and mind and will have at your disposal a choice of techniques to help you respond more elegantly and appropriately to change.
I have recently remodelled my Stress Management workshop to include more elements of Yoga therapy and deep relaxation those body oriented approaches offer a perfect complement to the psychotherapeutic enquiry.
I am also exploring the effectiveness of voice and dance in giving 'voice' and 'movement' to a person searching for their own expression- I found that even some gentle T'ai Chi movements can lead to a new way of thinking/feeling about ones body, experiencing it as helpful, not a painful hinderance, anymore!
All this is of course much talked about by modern neuroscience. The famous mind/body link that Humanistic Psychotherapy already practised 50 y ago is being confirmed by Imaging techniques we now have at our disposal, showing the brain's plasticity. So our efforts to deeply relax, meditate, take care of ourselves do pay off, it is really time well spent!
As part of the seminars, perticipants receive a copy of my
'Living Well' CD to help continue the programme at home.
